Gandhi Adarsh College is a constituent affiliated college of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (KUK), one of Haryana's oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning. All undergraduate programmes offered by the college follow the curriculum, examination pattern and academic calendar prescribed by the University.
Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 and is named after the historic city of Kurukshetra, associated with the Mahabharata. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and holds an 'A++' NAAC accreditation, with several hundred affiliated colleges and institutes spread across Ambala, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Panipat and Yamunanagar districts.
